New County Chairman Takes Charge

Jonathan Neerman Web.JPGLast week, Chairman Jonathan Neerman officially began his two-year term as the new leader of the Dallas County Republican Party (DCRP). Neerman, a successful attorney and former officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, said he hopes to restore the strong grassroots network that once made the Republican Party a driving force in Dallas County politics.

"If we want to remain competitive in Dallas County, and win back the important offices and judicial benches we lost to the Democrats, we need to regenerate our Party from the grassroots up," said Neerman. "2008 is a pivotal election year for Republicans. There is much work to be done, and we must get started now to be ready for November."

Neerman, who ran unopposed in the 2008 Primary, also thanked his predecessor for his years of service. "Kenn George answered the call at a time when the Republican Party desperately needed his steadfast leadership," Neerman stated. "We are very thankful for his unyielding support and ongoing commitment to the DCRP."
