Flooding on the Texas Coast

Houston, TX – Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas Coast last week and has caused record flooding. Chairman Phillip Huffines had this to say:

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to those effected by the devastation brought on by Hurricane Harvey. I encourage every Texan to offer their support to those displaced by this tragedy and to offer any help they can to the relief efforts,” said Chairman Phillip Huffines. “We’re truly thankful for the efforts of the brave first responders who have plunged into the waters to rescue stranded Texans. Our prayers remain focused on all of those effected by the storm.”

Hurricane Harvey made landfall late last week and has brought on flooding throughout the Texas Coast. More rain is expected to fall in the coming days, adding strain to the already overflowing drainage systems. Governor Abbott has activated the entire Texas National Guard in response to the hurricane.
