Announcement - Precinct Chair Feature

A New "Dialog" Has Been Added To the Portal

Remember in my two recent training classes when I said that I would be adding new features and functions to the Precinct Chair Portal over the summer? Well, the first such new feature has now been added to the Precinct Chair Portal called "Dialogs." The new feature will act as a cutout and buffer for public contacts with Precinct Chairs WITHOUT exposing their phone numbers and e-mail addresses that quickly become subjects for harvesting by spammers and scammers.

The DIalog feature is in production now.

Updated Precinct Chair List Back Online

The Dialog was added concurrently with the first release of the list of Precinct Chairs for the 2022-2024 term. The new list appears both on public pages as well as privately in the Precinct Chair Portal. The new Dialog button now appears on all list pages for all Precinct Chair contacts, public and private.

New Tutorial on Dialogs In Production

I am also currently producing a tutorial video on the use of the feature using narrated audio graphics. Until I finish it and post it in the Precinct Chair Portal, please use the PDF at the button below until I can finish the video in the next few days. Note that the PowerPoint deck used below is merely the very first draft. It will likely change and expand while in production. This early version, however, will get you started.

I have opened a thread in the Precinct Chair Forum for discussion about the feature and any questions you might have. Please join the discussion.

Logging Into the Precinct Chair Portal

All Precinct Chairs have User Accounts already established that will allow you to log into the Precinct Chair Portal.

Log in to the portal using your registered e-mail address and your secret password as your login credentials. If you have forgotten your password, please click the "Password?" link in the lower right of the login menu and follow the resulting on-screen instructions. The system will reset your password instantly and immediately e-mail instructions for confirming and completing the reset. You should get the e-mail just as quickly as your e-mail service can post new incoming messages. Typically, you should receive it in less than a minute.

Please note that if your e-mail reader strips off our authentication token that is embedded in the e-mail confirmation that we send you (some e-mail readers/services will strip the token as a misguided effort cloaked as an e-mail "security" or "anti-tracking" measures), the lack of the token will prevent you from completing your reset automatically. If that happens, call Bill Anderton at (214) 684-5793 and he will perform a manual reset for you while you are on the phone.

If you have any login issues and need any other assistance, please call Bill Anderton at the phone number shown above. Call any time.
