Candidate Statement:
I am running for Congress to be a persistent and determined voice for Texans, not Washington elites. I will fight out-of-control inflation to put money back in working families’ pockets, support our police, and fight human trafficking.
I’ve had a rewarding career in the hospitality industry founding two of the most successful restaurant franchises in the country. Over the years, I have created thousands of jobs and helped many entrepreneurs achieve their dreams just as I have.
I’m asking you to send me to Washington to represent you. I’m not a lawyer or professional athlete. I’m not aspiring to be a career politician. I am someone who understands what’s needed, and most importantly, what is NOT needed from our government. America has always been a land of opportunity where it’s possible for ANYONE to succeed if they follow their dreams. Unfortunately, poor leadership, failed policy, and self-serving politicians are threatening that dream. Send me to Washington to apply some business sense – and some common sense – to our government. I won’t let you down.
Biography:
Antonio Swad grew up modestly. The son of a truck driver and a waitress, Antonio learned from an early age that persistence and diligence were key in everything he did. At 15, Antonio started working as a dishwasher in a local steakhouse. Antonio graduated high school at 16 and while his friends were heading out to celebrate, Antonio put on his badge and went to work the dinner service. His hard work paid off when, at 21, Antonio became the youngest General Manager in company history.
Antonio later used his experience and knowledge gained from the restaurant industry to live his own American Dream by founding Pizza Patron, in 1986 after finding a gap in the market. And in 1994, Antonio followed that up with a new concept—Wingstop– which he helped grow to over 90 franchisee units before selling the company. Over the years Antonio has created thousands of jobs and helped many entrepreneurs achieve their dreams just as he has.
Antonio is running for Congress to fight Joe Biden’s out-of-control inflation, secure our borders, and stand with first responders working to keep Texans safe.
