Statewide Votes On the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Are Still Being Counted


The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the state’s highest criminal court, has nine justices, with three seats up for election in 2022. All Justices are elected statewide. Currently, only about 57% of the estimated vote has been counted. Mary Lou Keel's seat for Court Of Criminal Appeals Place 2 was uncontested, so she has won. Republicans lead the other two races but no official call for any of the races has been made yet.
