“America’s Streets, an Emerging Battlefield”

“America’s Streets, an Emerging Battlefield”

When members of our Armed Forces are deployed into combat zones, we understand the casualties and loss of life that occur… after all, it is a combat zone. However, when we learn about our Soldiers gunned down in an ambush on our streets, blocks away from the White House, it should alarm us all. Sadly, the tragic loss of U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and the shooting of U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolffe has not shaken a certain portion of our Nation. The Marxist leftists of America refuse to accept that their delusional, failed policies have turned America’s streets into a battleground.

First, let me be clear: I have several former interpreter/translators (ITs) with whom I worked in Afghanistan who are now here in America. They are thriving, successful, and enjoying the blessings of liberty and opportunity that our Republic offers. There is even a former Afghanistan National Army officer I mentored who now resides in San Antonio. And our own Dallas County Republican Party, where I am humbled to be the Chairman, has a former Afghan IT as one of our Precinct Chairs. I just recently signed a letter of recommendation and support for him to get his mother, father, and siblings out of Afghanistan. These are individuals from the country of Afghanistan who have—and would—continue to stand and fight for this country. The difference is, they went through a rigorous vetting process that included background checks and verifications.

The shooter of SPC Beckstrom and SSG Wolffe underwent nothing of the sort—just the same as the Afghan national who was arrested a year ago in Oklahoma for planning a terrorist attack during our 2024 election. We have allowed far too many single, military-age males into this Nation illegally. And the American people are paying the price for the unconstitutional actions of the previous administration.

It is time we recognize that non-state, non-uniformed, illegal-alien belligerents on our streets are invaders—a threat to our safety and security. This is not just a simple law enforcement operation; it is indeed a domestic insurgency that we are facing. And if we do not believe that right here in Dallas and Dallas County, Texas there are serious consequences, you’re wrongfully deceived. We just saw the Dallas Police Chief and City Council reject working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the 287(g) program. And do not believe that the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is following recently passed Texas law and cooperating with ICE. Islamic jihadists and transnational narco-criminal terrorist organizations cannot be afforded sanctuary from which they can commit crimes against the American people.

It is becoming high time that we do not see this as a legal conflagration but fight this as an insurgency on our streets. No, I do not embrace the idea that criminal illegal immigrants and illegal belligerents—such as Tren de Aragua—deserve “equal protection under the law” per the 14th Amendment. These are not citizens, and they certainly do not have a “right” to be in our country. We must develop a separate system of justice and “due process” for those who are here illegally and committing crimes against the American people, and it should be an expedited system. The American taxpayer should not be on the hook for providing sustenance for those unlawfully in our country, guilty of committing heinous offenses against our citizens.

Yes, I believe that the shooter of SPC Beckstrom and SSG Wolffe does not deserve a day in court. Once he has been exploited for any potential intelligence, he should be summarily executed—or just dropped off in West Virginia. Remember, the Ft. Hood Islamic jihadist shooter, Nidal Hasan, is still being kept alive at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks, Ft. Leavenworth.

There is a message that needs to be sent to those in our country illegally who are considering committing crimes against Americans on our streets: it will not be tolerated.

Now, there is another aspect of violence on our streets, and that comes from homegrown domestic terrorists. American citizens who are impeding the enforcement of our laws must be held accountable. Who would have ever thought that we would have Americans ambushing law enforcement? It has happened twice in recent months in North Texas. The Antifa members who ambushed the Alvarado detention facility have received swift justice. I support due process. The sniper who fired upon the ICE detention facility in Dallas shot himself—sniper attacks. The organizations to which these individuals belong, Antifa and the John Brown Gun Club, must be confronted and dealt with according to the rule of law. This is no different from how this Nation finally went after its first domestic terrorist organization, the Ku Klux Klan—a product of the Democrat Party.

Lastly, we can no longer suffer activist judges who release violent criminals back onto our streets. Chicago and Charlotte have provided disturbing examples of the results. These criminals also add to America’s streets becoming battlefields. Matter of fact, if the elected officials and judges in America’s blue cities were doing their jobs when it comes to crime, SPC Beckstrom and SSG Wolffe would not have been needed on those streets.

As we close out 2025 and head into a critical midterm election year, I would hope that people remember who it was—and who it still is—that has turned America’s streets into a battlefield.

Steadfast and Loyal.
