FILL A VACANT PRECINCT CHAIR POSITION
Precinct Chairs are the backbone of the Dallas County Republican Party. We are actively recruiting to fill these open seats shown below for the 2024-2026 term. These vacancies may be filled by appointment if you are willing to step up and serve!
Role of a Texas Precinct Chair
• Elected leader of their political party in a specific voting precinct
• Member of the County Executive Committee (CEC) for their party
• Represents party voters within their neighborhood or precinct
• Recruits and mobilizes voters for elections (local, state, and national)
• Helps register new voters and keep neighbors informed about voting
• Organizes grassroots outreach, such as block walking, phone banking, and events
• Can recruit poll workers (election judges and clerks) for Election Day
• May help oversee precinct conventions and promote party platform issues
• Votes on local party matters, including filling ballot vacancies and resolutions
• Serves a 2-year term, elected during the party primary (even-numbered years) or serves remainder of existing term
