Blue County Tyranny in Red States

Chairman's Monday Message

I think that the title to this missive speaks for itself, but it still needs to be reiterated. The leftist playbook is quite simple: to gain a foothold in red states in urban population centers, the greatest evidence of their policy and philosophical failures. It then becomes a matter of population, as their design is to flip a red state into their column of collective subjugation. I think many have forgotten that California was once a solid red state, and that one named Ronald Reagan was once the Governor. If you look today at many red states, such as my birth state of Georgia, you will see the blue concentrated in very specific counties. And so it goes here in Texas as well We saw that trend begin in 2006 here in Dallas County. Now, we are not talking about the old blue Dog Democrats, also known as conservative Democrats, many of whom supported Ronald Reagan. No, we are talking about progressive socialist Marxists, leftists, individuals whose principles and philosophy of governance are antithetical to that of our Republic, and the State of Texas.

Or so we would presume in the Lone Star State.

If there is one thing for which I will give credit to leftists, it is their abject tenacity. It is their commitment and determination even when they know their principles, and absence of values are wrong. I mean really? Who in their right mind would agree with child gender mutilation or exposing kids to sexual deviants?

Even in a red state like Texas, the tenacity, and tyranny, of leftists goes on almost unabated. Take, for instance, the recent revelations of one Dallas County Commissioner, John Wiley Price, who allegedly raised his hands in a physical assault of a female Republican election worker. Nope, nothing to see here, no charges to be brought forth, not even election interference by an elected official? I think we all can just imagine the national leftist outcry if the roles, and skin pigmentation, had been reversed. But hey, no Texas Rangers investigation, so he gets away with it. Not so fast my friends, there are other avenues of investigation and prosecution from outside the state of Texas. However, that should not be the case.

Or take the case of Black conservative and DeSoto City Council runoff candidate Everett Jackson. He was allowed on the ballot when he was not a threat. Now that he is in a runoff, and doing well, the DeSoto City Secretary is seeking to kick him off the ballot, right in the middle of the runoff early voting.

It is not just these recent cases, but in Dallas County, the Sheriff and Dallas Police Chief have not come forward to assist ICE with deportations of criminal illegal immigrants. If I am mistaken, please correct me. We just had a wonderful young 18-year-old Air Force Academy Cadet, Ava Moore, killed over Memorial Day weekend as she was kayaking on Lake Grapevine, by an illegal immigrant on a jet ski, who sought to flee. We should not have “sanctuary” for illegal immigrants in the state of Texas, yet, these blue county jurisdictions, regardless, flaunt the law. They do so with impunity because there are no consequences and ramifications.

Activist leftist judges in Texas who feel that their oath is to social justice and not to the law should be impeached. The Texas constitution grants that enumerated power to the Governor. This 89th legislative session has drawn to a close, sine die, and there was no restoration of criminal prosecution to the Texas AG in the matters of election violations. That power is still retained at the local County DA office, and their discretion.

Prussian military strategist Carl von Clausewitz asserted in his seminal book, “On War,” that conflicts align themselves along three categories: Purpose, Goal, and Means. His reasoning was that the purpose of war is one’s will to be enforced, which is determined by politics. The goal of the conflict is therefore to defeat the opponent in order to exact the purpose. 

We are embroiled in an ideological conflagration between progressive socialism and constitutional conservatism (classical liberalism). The left embraces a mantra that their ends justify their means, and the goal is to be achieved by any means necessary. If we fail to meet this ideological enemy on the battlefield of ideals with the same, or greater, level of tenacity and intensity, we will lose. They are not changing their insidious ways. And we should not be aiding and abetting them by compromise, appeasement, acquiescence, financial support, and dismissal of their abhorrent behavior.

And worse, we need to stop demonizing those of us who are willing to fight them!

Leftism, Marxism, and their unholy alliance with Islamic jihadism cannot be reasoned with, it can only be rendered ineffective, defeated, and irrelevant. And that cannot be done by allowing it to thrive in blue counties in red states.
