Kenneth Trentadue arrived at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City on August 19, 1995, for a decade-old California parole violation. Three days later, he was found hanging in his Special Housing Unit cell — his head split in three places, throat slashed, body battered and bruised down to the soles of his feet. Officials called it a suicide. His brother, attorney Jesse Trentadue, knew better. That moment launched his 30-year battle for the truth.
Just four months earlier, on April 19, 1995, Kathy Sanders began her own 30-year fight after her grandsons — 2-year-old Colton and 3-year-old Chase — were among the 168 victims of the Murrah Federal Building bombing, the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history. She, too, found that the official story defied belief.
The phrase “A Noble Lie,” from Plato’s Republic, describes the myths rulers tell to preserve power — propaganda that keeps the public subdued while the elite remain secure.
What truth is the government so determined to keep hidden from Jesse, Kathy, and the American public? As the 11th year of the court-appointed master’s investigation drags on, the DOJ continues to fight to keep records in Kenneth Trentadue’s “suicide” case sealed while Jesse continues to file FOIA requests — a citizen’s right and his court of last resort.
