For the Love of Our Children

There is something rather disturbing happening in our country, in our community. Just recently, at the Texas Democratic Party convention, we witnessed a drag queen advocate for more engagement with our children. Once upon a time, one would clearly see adult sexual deviants having access to children as a crime, contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Texas passed a law to prevent such, but a federal judge ruled that these delusional individuals had a constitutional right to engage with kids.

We are in an age where we are told that we can no longer use the term pedophile to characterize those who seek sexual contact with minor children. We are now supposed to refer to them as “minor attracted persons” or MAPs.

How have we come to a point in our society where we have so little regard or love for our most vulnerable?

Having served in our US Army for 22 years, I know that when a mission or operation is going bad we “abort” the mission. Now, we wantonly use that reference when it comes to our unborn children. It is time we start talking about what we are actually doing, and that is dismembering their bodies.

Or we hear about this new pill that ends up starving the life that is growing in the womb. I can already hear the detractors say, “Colonel, we don’t need to talk about this issue, it is not a winning issue politically.” Well, I ain’t into doing what is politically expedient over that which is morally right. Look, the ranting about rape and incest, that is just 2-3 percent of cases. We can talk about better adoption processes, and you can speak with US Representative Kat Cammack or Epoch News commentator Kelly Wright about their views on the subject, you might be surprised.

We should all be able to agree that dismembering and starving an unborn child is not an acceptable means of birth control. I support the Texas Heartbeat Law, and even in Europe they have a specified limit. However, to advocate for this up until the time of birth is infanticide. This thing leftists have termed abortion was supposed to be “safe, legal, and rare.” It has morphed into something far beyond those prescriptions, it is now an industry.

The US Supreme Court does not make law, and their 1973 decision on Roe v. Wade was severely flawed and unconstitutional. The SCOTUS does not have the enumerated constitutional right to declare anything a “right.” If there is to be any amendment to our Constitution, that has to be taken up by our legislative branch and, if passed, signed into law by the Executive and interpreted by the Judicial branch. It is apparent that too many of us, especially those on the progressive socialist left and others who lack intestinal fortitude and constitutional savvy, realize that the very first unalienable right endowed to us by the Creator, the Judeo-Christian God, is life. That was established in 1689 when one John Locke, the father of classical liberalism, wrote his Two Treatises on Government and introduced us to the concept of Natural Rights Theory. Locke wrote that our life, liberty, and property are natural rights that come to us not from man, meaning government, but from God. Jefferson codified natural rights theory in our Declaration of Independence and specifically alluded to it by stating,  “the laws of nature and nature’s God.” He asserted that, indeed, our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are not endowed to us here in America by the government but by God.

The Dobbs decision by the SCOTUS clarified that the federal government was wrong in establishing this as a right. It was not within the purview of the federal government, certainly not the Supreme Court. The SCOTUS basically invoked the 10th Amendment, which affirms that powers that are not specifically delegated to the federal government are reserved to the States and the People.

But it is not just this aspect dismembering our children, it is also the deranged lunacy of allowing the mutilation of our children’s bodies. Look, minors cannot get a tattoo, yet we are supposed to believe that as young as the age of six, they should be placed on hormonal therapies, puberty blockers, and later undergo life altering surgeries? If you are an adult, go ahead, knock yourself out, but let’s love our children.

I find it absurd and dangerous that a local doctor is being brought up on charges by the Biden DoJ for whistleblowing about the UT Southwestern medical clinic scheme to mutilate the bodies of children. That is not “gender affirming care,” because you are not changing DNA, you are mutilating a body.

It does not end there, if we are to love our children we should want the best for them by way of their education. Yet, we find schools becoming sexual indoctrination centers. We are failing to prepare our children as many are not reading or doing math at grade levels. However, we are data-mining them through technology schemes and not sharing information with parents. Educational freedom for our children is not something we should beg the government to render unto us, it is a parental right.

So, ask yourselves: are we really showing love to our children?

Never forget that our current President, First Lady, Vice President, and White House Press Secretary have all said that our children are not our own. I firmly disagree with that Marxist position. We must remind them of the sage wisdom of King Solomon in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way that they should go, so that when they grow old they shall not depart from it.” That is a parent’s responsibility, parents who love their children, and we must protect our children from the wolves who would devour them.

Steadfast and Loyal.
