Dallas County Republican Party (DCRP) Precinct Chairs must live in the precinct in which he/she serves, and should be a Republican Primary voter or otherwise clearly aligned with the Republican Party and Constitutional values.
A Publicly Published Name, Email, and Phone are required (you can decide to create a designated email and phone number for the public), but we must have a cell phone and email to reach you directly. However, if none is provided, you agree that the information submitted in this application will be published online and shared with campaigns and elected officials in accordance with RPT rules for all candidates seeking a public office. DCRP retains the right to approve or disapprove nicknames for publication pursuant to Sections 171.022, 171.0221, 171.023, 171.0231, and 171.024 of the Texas Election Code.

I swear that I am a resident of the precinct I am applying for and a citizen of the United States eligible to hold such office under the Constitution and laws of this state. I have not been finally convicted of a felony for which I have not been pardoned or had my full rights of citizenship restored by other official action. I have not been determined by a final judgement of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote. I understand I am responsible to fulfill the office of Precinct Chair pursuant to Sections 171.022, 171.0221, 171.023, 171.0231, and 171.024 of the Texas Election Code. **County Precinct Chair Code of Conduct** As a County Precinct Chair, you are entrusted with important responsibilities within our party and community. To maintain the integrity of your position and foster a positive environment, we expect you to adhere to the following code of conduct: 1. **Transparency and Accessibility**: You must be reachable by the public regarding party business by providing your cell phone number and chosen email address. This includes being responsive to inquiries, communications, and concerns through various channels such as text, email, and messaging platforms. If you can not respond to a message, you will be obligated to send to another agreed upon precinct chair for aid. 2. **Respect and Kindness**: Treat all individuals with kindness, dignity, and respect. 3. **No Slander or Bullying**: Refrain from engaging in slanderous or bullying behavior towards fellow party members, opponents, or individuals within the community. Constructive criticism is encouraged, but personal attacks are strictly prohibited. 4. **Attendance at CEC Meetings**: Required to attend County Executive Committee (CEC) meetings per section 171.029 of the Texas Election Code- can not miss more than 3 consecutive CEC meetings. Your active participation is vital for effective decision-making and collaboration within the party. 5. **Voter Engagement and Outreach**: Demonstrate a willingness to work diligently within your precinct to increase voter turnout and engagement. This may include activities such as block walking, texting, sending emails, participating/co-hosting meet & greets, writing letters, sharing data and distributing mailers to mobilize voters and promote party initiatives. 6. **Adherence to Roberts Rules of Order**: Familiarize yourself with and abide by Roberts Rules of Order during party meetings. This parliamentary procedure ensures orderly and fair discussions, allowing for efficient decisionmaking and respectful exchanges of ideas. As a Precinct Chair, you are a positive and empowered representative of the Republican Party, its values and platforms. By adhering to these principles, you not only fulfill your duties as a County Precinct Chair but also contribute to the overall success and integrity of our party.
