“The Locust Effect”

“The Locust Effect”
It’s Friday morning 27 March, and I am writing this missive from a hotel room in Santa Barbara California. I am here to address the annual Young America’s Foundation High School Youth Conservative conference. It is truly a pleasure and honor to be here to be a part of this amazing organization to grow the next generation of constitutional conservatives. Santa Barbara is a beautiful city and flying in gives one a spectacular view crossing over the Santa Ynez mountains. From high above, California is a stunningly beautiful State, but once on the ground, reality sets in. California, for all its natural beauty, is run by elected officials who ascribe to an ideology rooted in ignorance and incompetence. And to think, this was once a state where Ronald Reagan was the Governor.

Today people are fleeing California due to its failing policies, the numbers do not lie. We see that in the State of Texas but this has been happening in other western States as well. The problem is that as these people are fleeing, not all, many are advancing what I call “the locust effect”. I think we can all understand that metaphor, in that locusts are an invasive species that moves about in massive swarms seeking out fertile areas. They are able to travel great distances being driven by a need for food sources after depleting and exhausting local fertile areas.

The greatest export of California, once a red state, is leftism. Leftists have done exactly like locusts and devoured the so-called Golden State and swarm elsewhere looking for new fertile grounds. It has happened in Colorado, happening in Arizona, occurring in Oregon and Washington states, and is coming to Texas. As a matter of fact, it is a threat everywhere in America as leftists flee their own failed states and seek out the better lands of red states. These swarms concentrate in the major urban population areas, and that is where we find the greatest evidence of leftist policy failure.

What is so very perplexing is that these human locusts gather and fly out of states they have devoured, not realizing they are the cause for the devastation. They bring their same hunger for failed policies to a new area and continue the process, and become angry when anyone seeks to oppose their devastation. We have seen so many once solid, strong conservative states being toppled by the insidious infestation and infiltration of leftism. And of course, once the pestilence has done its damage, they swarm to a new state, area.

The question becomes, how does one confront the invasion of this species? When you look at a State like California, it has been under a one-party political rule for so long. Is it possible to defeat this at its source? Red states must realize that watering down the policies that have made them effective and well run is not a solution. As more corporations flee these failed blue states it is imperative that they are not blindly granted incentives in red states if they are carrying this plague by bringing in employees who do not and will not appreciate the conservative policies that enable economic success.

In Dallas County we see the massive growth and the welcoming of “Y’all Street” as many flee NYC because of the insidious leftist, Marxist, policies of Zohran Mamdani. However, will these newly relocated individuals be a value added, or just continue to grow the blue stranglehold in Dallas County Texas? After all, Dallas County and the city are for all practical purposes, sanctuaries for criminal illegal immigrants, as there is no formal agreement under the 287(g) program to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The playbook of the expansion of leftist locusts is to invade red states, take over major population areas, and then flip the state from red to purple to blue. And this invasionary species is proud when they are capable of doing such, and will spend massive amounts of money to enable that end…the end being destruction and devastation.

If there is to be a bulwark against the infestation of leftist locusts, it starts locally with municipal elections. That means attention must be paid to city council and school board elections, as well as countywide elections. Then it is imperative that there are strong constitutional conservatives elected at the state level who will provide an outer cordon to block this infestation. The problem, Republican voter turnout!

Here in Texas, we do not just face the infestation of leftist locusts, we also have a problem with islamist locusts, and even more deadly species…but one related to its leftist cousin. They both embrace an ideology of totalitarianism, tyranny, and the erosion of individual rights, freedoms, and liberties. There is no better time to defeat these invasive species than this year, a monumental year of reflection and celebration of 190 years of Texas independence, and 250 years of American independence.

History has shown us what locusts can do, and history has shown us what Marxism and Islamism is all about. This invasive species is not compliant with our fundamental principles and values that have made our Constitutional Republic, the most fertile ground for freedom that the world has ever known.

Steadfast and Loyal.
