Does Anyone Care About Crime in Dallas?
Everyone is focused on the crime issue, and the lawful and constitutional implementation of Home Rule in Washington DC, the seat of our federal government. However, the abhorrent crime situation one finds in Washington, DC, can be found in nearly every major US city politically controlled by the Marxist left, and Dallas is not immune. Just recently the Dallas Express reported on a comparative analysis of downtown Dallas crime for July 2025. The Metroplex Civic & Business Association found that downtown Dallas had a crime score nine times higher than that of Ft. Worth.
The analysis specifically points to six times more thefts, eight times more assaults, and 33 times more drug violations. Oddly, large so-called Republican donors made campaign contributions to incumbent leftist Dallas City Council members . . . and sadly, the May municipal elections once again saw a dismal electorate turnout. The excuse of saying Ft. Worth and Dallas have different population numbers is no longer a valid rationale. The population gap between Dallas and Ft. Worth is closing, and Ft. Worth’s population growth is outpacing that of Dallas. Simple, citizens want safety and security. Businesses want safety and security. Tourists want safety and security.
There is an obvious question to be asked: Does the Dallas City Council, the leftists there, care about safety and security? What we are seeing all across the nation is that the Marxist leftists are aligning themselves with crime and criminality. They are rioting to keep criminal illegal immigrants on our streets as they demonize law enforcement as terrorists. Leftists, including in Dallas, are doing everything possible to undermine law enforcement, and the Dallas City Council is not funding the Dallas PD according to the Proposition U that was passed. We have a Dallas County District Attorney — Soros bought and paid for — who is enabling the repatriation of criminals back onto our streets, just like the leftist judicial activists masquerading as district judges.
But what is even more disconcerting, the Dallas Chief of Police Daniel Comeaux traveled to Qatar, 8,000 miles away, for meetings to discuss security for the coming World Cup 2026. First of all, let me make myself very clear, I do not trust the Qataris. I do not want their financial investment in our country, nor their airplanes. Qatar is home base for Hamas leadership, and has been for a while. Qatar is the place where the Taliban Five were released by Barack Obama. They are now back in charge in Afghanistan thanks to Joe Biden. Qatar is a major funding source for Hamas.
So, why does the Dallas Police Chief feel the need to travel and get security advice from Qatar? A country known for aiding and abetting Islamic jihadism and terrorism? No, this is not a matter of overreacting since the Arlington Police Chief turned down the same invitation, and many of the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be held in Arlington.
Dallas Police Chief Comeaux has been in his current position for a little over 100 days; his focus should be on Dallas crime. Yes, leadership is about presence; trust me, I know from going out on patrols and combat operations with my troops in Iraq.
Leadership is also about facing a serious issue affecting the quality of life of those whom you are sworn to protect and serve, and do so. It would appear that there is no major focus on crime in the city of Dallas. Yes, Eric Johnson is doing his best, along with two Republican members of the Dallas City Council, but they are facing a torrential storm and headwind led by the City Manager Kim Tolbert. The comparative analysis that we mentioned at the beginning of this missive admits there is a contrast between the elected officials of Dallas and Ft. Worth.
Local elections are important, and they have consequences. As Plato once asserted, “Those who refuse to participate in politics shall be governed by their inferiors.” Actually, when you do not engage in politics, you allow Marxists to rule over you . . . and Robert Francis O’Rourke plainly stated, “eff” the rules.
Steadfast and Loyal.
