A Defining Moment for Our County Party

Tami Brown Rodriquez, Vice Chair, Serving as Acting Chair

Precinct Chairs and Fellow Republicans,

Tonight, the Dallas County Republican Party County Executive Committee will meet to hold a special election to fill the position of County Chair.

This is not simply a procedural step – it is a decision that will shape the direction, effectiveness, and future of our county party at a critical time.

Our municipal elections were a clear reminder of the work ahead. Turnout reflects both the challenges we face and the opportunity before us. If we are going to meet this moment, we must be more aligned, more structured, and more disciplined in how we operate.

Over the past eight years, I have worked alongside many of you – in trainings, at the polls, and in building relationships across this state. I have seen firsthand what works, and I have seen where we continue to fall short. Our party is filled with committed individuals – but commitment alone is not enough. It must be supported by structure, clarity, and execution.

As Ronald Reagan said, “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally – not a 20 percent traitor.”

This is one of those moments that calls for unity, focus, and a willingness to move forward together with purpose.

Regardless of tonight’s outcome, what matters most is that we leave that room prepared to operate differently – to be more focused, more unified, and more effective in everything we do.

We have an opportunity right now to strengthen this organization, support our precinct chairs in a meaningful way, and build a structure that is capable of winning – not just in theory, but in practice.

That kind of outcome does not happen by chance. It happens through deliberate leadership and disciplined execution.

Thank you for your continued service and for the role you play in the future of this party.

With focus and purpose,

Tami Brown Rodriguez
Vice Chairman, Serving as Acting Chair
Dallas County Republican Party
