American Jewish Conservatives & Torch Dallas invite you to join us for a truly historic and inspiring Shabbat on May 15th – 16th as we come together to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary!
This is a once-in-a-generation celebration of faith, freedom, gratitude, and the enduring bond between the Jewish People and the United States of America. In special honor of 250 glorious years of American independence and during the nationwide celebration of Rededicate 250 — a national jubilee of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving — Jewish Americans across the country are being encouraged to observe a National Sabbath and unite in gratitude for the blessings of liberty and faith that have defined our Nation since its founding.
From sundown on Friday, May 15th through nightfall on Saturday, May 16th, friends, families, and patriots of all backgrounds are invited to gather for a powerful and meaningful Shabbat experience centered around rest, reflection, prayer, fellowship, and thanksgiving to the Almighty for the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy as Americans.
This special Shabbat celebration carries historic significance following President Donald J. Trump’s landmark Shabbat proclamation recognizing the importance of Jewish faith, heritage, religious liberty, and the profound contributions Jewish Americans have made to the United States throughout our Nation’s history. His proclamation serves as a powerful reminder that faith, tradition, patriotism, and gratitude remain essential pillars of American greatness!
Why This Shabbat (and every shabbat) is So Important:
Shabbat has sustained the Jewish people for thousands of years offering a sacred pause from the distractions and pressures of everyday life in order to reconnect with family, community, faith, and HaShem. More than simply a day of rest, Shabbat is a celebration of creation, freedom, renewal, and spiritual strength. Especially during this historic anniversary of America’s founding, observing Shabbat takes on even greater meaning as we reflect on the blessings of liberty, religious freedom, and the responsibilities we share to preserve and strengthen our Nation for future generations.
Throughout This Unforgettable Weekend, Guests Can Enjoy:
A meaningful and uplifting Shabbat Dinner & Oneg (‘A Post Dinner Social’)
An Uplifting and Engaging Shabbat Morning Learner’s Service.
