Things That Make You Go Hmm . . .

Perhaps some of you remember the song with our title from C&C Music Factory. It became a bit of a sensation. Well, I thought of this little ditty when considering some of the latest from the Dallas County Elections Department and the Supervisor of Elections, Heider Garcia. If you are not familiar with Mr. Garcia, you should be. He has quite an interesting past. I found his episode in the Philippines to be quite disconcerting. Regardless, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins decided to hire Mr. Garcia after a dubious stint in Tarrant County.

I have never considered myself a conspiracy theorist but the military trains the astute combat commander to assess and analyze trends, indicators, and warnings. Recently there have been several as we prepare for the Dallas County municipal elections, where early voting begins next week.

I fully understand that municipal elections are “non-partisan;” — wink, wink — if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. If that were the case, we would not have the Dallas Young Democrats fretting over the coming election warning of a MAGA takeover of the Dallas City Council. However, when the Elections Administrator of Dallas County says that he is not coordinating with the respective County political parties for election judges, primary and alternate, but all of the judges he is selecting are Democrats. Yeah, things that make you go “Hmm . . . “

If Mr. Garcia, who once had his departure from a foreign country held up due to issues over election integrity, was true to his “non-partisan” declaration, why is he only selecting election judges in Dallas County for this municipal election that are Democrats? Would he not seek to be impartial and create a fair and balanced team? Would he not reach out and ask for the best folks to ensure the integrity of this coming election? We at the Dallas County Republican Party are going to ensure we have poll watchers out and about as our eyes and ears. I hate to remind everyone about the quote attributed to Joseph Stalin, but it is appropriate, “It is not the one who casts the ballot who matters, it is the one who counts the ballot that matters.”

Ponder that, and perhaps citizens in Dallas County should contact their representatives and say, “This is a thing that makes me go ‘Hmm.'”

Just last week we informed you, as soon as we were informed, that Mr. Garcia is splitting 13 voter precincts in Dallas County. He is using a statute that says you cannot have over 4,500 actual participating voters in a precinct; not registered voters, but actual voters, those with a voting record. I reside in Garland, Texas, and interestingly enough, five of the precincts being split are in Garland, north Garland and east over towards Lake Ray Hubbard. This may not be quite disconcerting to the average Joe, but what caught my attention is that Garcia is presenting his plan to the Dallas County Commissioners Court this Friday, yeah, Good Friday. My spidey sense goes up because why would you have a hearing such as this, a very important issue where you are creating 13 new voting precincts, on said day? Things that make you go “Hmm.”

If possible, we are asking that those who are affected by this change make every attempt to attend the Commissioners Court hearing. This is being done during the major Christian holiday period and just before early voting in the municipal elections.

Lastly, we all know that due to your hard work and reporting in the November 2024 election, the Texas Secretary of State office decertified the Election Systems and Software (ES&S) ePollbooks. Mr. Garcia has magically come up with a new ePollbook to be used for the municipal elections. It is one that I, and perhaps no one else, has seen demonstrated. This again is a thing that makes one go, “Hmm…” Why not just end the insane practice of countywide voting, go back to precinct-level voting, hand signature books, and hand-counted paper ballots?

There is a reason why someone such as Heider Garcia, with a questionable background including time with Smartmatic, has been brought into head the Dallas County Elections Department. There are too many trends, indicators, and warnings that give cause for concern. We laid out many of them in our November, 2024, election summary. For this coming municipal election it is imperative that we have a strong voter turnout, anything close will lend itself to nefarious actions and manipulations.

Now, if none of this concerns you, well, continue to take the blue pill and stay in The Matrix. However, this is how a state like Texas, can eventually, by some measure of questionable actions, turn into a leftist state. Then it will be too late to say, “Hmm . . . “

Steadfast and Loyal.
