“The Locust Effect”

Locust — A type of grasshopper that can transform from a solitary, harmless insect into a destructive, swarming pest under certain conditions. These swarms can travel long distances, devouring crops and causing widespread damage. The change from “solitary” to “gregarious” phase is triggered by population density, often after rainy periods, leading to a surge of a brain chemical called serotonin that triggers the change in behavior and appearance.

The Tuesday elections are over and the hot topic is the exodus of individuals and businesses, especially from New York City. There are those who are openly welcoming new businesses—and here in Dallas, there are those salivating about the expansion of the financial industry. It has even been the recipient of a rather comical shift: “from Wall Street to Y’all Street.” It is said that JP Morgan Chase has more employees here in Dallas than in their headquarters office in New York City.

However, there is a bit of precaution red states should have, and recognize. Leftists seem to possess a locust effect in their migratory habits. What do I mean? Locusts move from fertile areas to fertile areas for one sole purpose—as the aforementioned definition offers—to cause widespread damage to the agricultural and ecological balance of an area.

I find it quite perplexing that leftists will take on locust-like behavior and decide to transform, travel long distances, and find a new area in order to continue their abhorrent and deadly behavior. Marxist leftists vote for failing policies and support those policies, witnessing their destructive nature. Then something happens—as with locusts—there is some chemical or some insidious brain activity that causes leftists to leave the state their policies have destroyed in search of a new state, and they still advance the same destructive policies.

Don’t believe me?

Well, look at the migration out of California by leftists who set their sights on Colorado. It is happening in faraway places like Montana. I just recently came back from Arizona, and they are adamant about California leftists—or shall I say locusts—coming into their state and devouring it with their same old failed ideological ways.

And here in Texas, look at every major urban center and who is in control. I do not think anyone will argue with the assertion that the capital of Texas more so resembles San Francisco than the capital city of the Lone Star State.

Sure, I do not mind when people move in order to seek out better economic and way-of-life possibilities and opportunities. But it is the pure definition of insanity to flee a place where the policies and people you supported wreaked havoc and destruction—only to relocate to another location and support the very same policies and elected officials.

We have all seen the signs and bumper stickers, “Don’t Californicate my Texas,” but sadly, that is exactly what leftists do. I kinda have to ask—why do leftists not like to live under their very own insanity? Why, like locusts, are they willing to travel long distances to bring the same failure to other states and cities?

I know that red-state governors like to brag about economic success, but there is a possibility that it comes at an expense. When red states offer up financial incentives to these corporations to leave failing blue states, somehow they need to ensure that the locusts do not come along. Perhaps there should be a stipulation about how many can transfer from the old locations and how many residents of the incoming state should be hired.

I will not go so far as to say we should be checking voting history before allowing those coming from leftist states. Understand that there are those who are indeed leaving California, New York, Illinois, and other areas because they are constitutional conservatives and want a better way of life, no longer desiring to live under the Marxist yoke of tyranny… we welcome y’all.

To those who say, “I am going to leave this failed state and go to a new state—and make it like the failed state,” well, just stay in the failed state.

In my birth state of Georgia, Republicans lost two statewide elections all because of the intense blue that surrounds the Atlanta/Fulton County area, Macon, Augusta, Columbus, and Savannah. Georgia is the largest land-mass state east of the Mississippi River and has some 159 counties.

What happened? Enticing Hollywood to move to Georgia. As a kid I remember the old folks telling us the difference between a Yankee and a damn Yankee—a Yankee comes down to visit, a damn Yankee stays. I knew my birth city of Atlanta had changed when there were actual New York Yankee fans cheering for that team during the World Series in the Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

I also find it quite perplexing that there are some Republican elected and appointed officials who seem to want to give advantage to Democrats coming into their red state. I would love to understand why the Texas Secretary of State, Jane Nelson—supposedly a Republican appointed by Governor Abbott—is standing on the opposite side of a legal endeavor by the Republican Party of Texas to have closed primary elections. Why would a “Republican” Secretary of State want to allow Marxist leftists the ability to impact and influence GOP primary elections? Yes, a violation of the right of free assembly for Texas Republicans.

And I love how leftists always try to say that red states have a high crime problem. Well, if one were to eradicate the locusts who control large municipalities in Republican states, there would not be a crime, homelessness, or education issue (remember, leftist locusts do not like educational freedom or parental choice in education—they only like choice when it comes to dismembering children in the womb), or economic despair issue.

My warning is simple: be careful about embracing the fleeing leftists—check and make sure they are not locusts. I recall a huge sign on I-95 as you are going south out of Georgia into Florida; it reads, “Welcome to Florida, remember why you left!” I think we need to put up some of that signage all across Texas interstate highways… would be a nice billboard project.

Well, you have been warned… the best pest control when it comes to locusts is proactive mitigation of them coming into your state or city.

Steadfast and Loyal.
