The Enemy Within the Gates

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gate is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” — Marcus Tullius Cicero, Roman Statesman

Good Monday morning, everyone. These words from Roman Statesman Cicero are relevant for us in these present times. With recent incidents in Texas, they are quite prescient for us here in the Lone Star State. America is unique in that we were founded on the preeminence of individual rights, freedoms, and liberties, as enshrined in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. That is replicated in Texas, the only State in America that has its own Declaration of Independence.

However, we are in an interesting time when our rule of law is not just being dismissed, but treason and sedition are being enacted under the guise of individual freedom, freedom of expression, and speech. We have courts and judges who believe that their ideological agenda supersedes their mandate to interpret the law. We have elected officials who are not Statesmen and women, but insidious charlatans who would even conjure up an idea such as “free” money for illegal immigrants, such as Karen Bass, Mayor of Los Angeles.

Some of you are saying, “Yeah, but everything is fine here in Texas…you’re wrong!”
Alvarado, Texas, is probably an hour from where I reside in Garland. I know Alvarado very well because it sits off of US Hwy 67, a favorite road I take heading out on my motorcycle to Cleburne and Glen Rose. It was there in Alvarado that 12 treasonous and seditious individuals laid out an ambush against the Prairieland Detention Facility. They were heavily armed, geared up in tactical wear, and had two-way communication devices. It was a well-planned engagement that resulted in a law enforcement officer being shot in the neck. Eleven of these traitors have been captured, one other, Benjamin Song, is the target of a massive manhunt at the time of this writing. What should highly disturb us here in the DFW metroplex is that these 12 were all homegrown right here. They are members of a domestic terrorist, insurrectionist organization called Antifa. Funny that no one from the progressive socialist left is demanding that they remove their masks. Why is it that we have this organization freely and openly operating in the state of Texas . . . in America?

As well, we had a lone wolf attack on a DHS annex building in McAllen, Texas. He was shot dead.

Where are the voices of leftist elected officials? Has anyone heard from Democrats in Dallas and Dallas County, or across Texas denouncing these groups, organizations, and individual actions? Nope, silence, but they have no issue verbally attacking ICE, CBP, and local law enforcement who are enforcing our immigration laws and removing criminal illegal immigrants from our communities and rescuing many from human, child, and sex trafficking. As a matter of fact, it is the rhetoric of those leftist elected officials inspiring the seditious and violent actions like what we saw in Alvarado and McAllen, Texas, and across the country.

This threat is enhanced by the sanctuary being given, in some cities and counties, to violent groups like MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and the dangerous transnational narco-criminal terrorists, the cartels. Yet, we have said individuals who unlawfully enable their infiltration and openly resist efforts to deny their existence in our communities.

I have not even mentioned the issues with the growing Islamic jihadist scourge here in Texas. We are more aware of this issue because of the EPIC city endeavor, but here in Garland, Tablighi Jemaat thrives. Sadly, thanks to Sam Westrop of Islamist Watch in the Middle East Forum, we learned about our very own Texas Governor’s officer granting $13 million to Islamist mosques and centers in the Lone Star State.

As Chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party, a Texan, and an American, it is my duty to alert you to these issues. It is also my duty to defend my country, state, and family from the enemy within the gates, and outside.

As we prepare for another election cycle next year in 2026, ask yourselves, who will take up a position on Freedom’s rampart and defend your rights and liberties? You must be more circumspect and discerning to know those moving amongst us who are within our gates with sly whispers. I will honestly say, who in their right mind would support and vote for a Party that attacks our law enforcement officers and refuses to protect you from dangerous threats that they unconstitutionally allowed entry into our country? What kind of depraved mind would support and vote for those in a party that embraces anti-Semitism, Marxism, and suppression of Constitutional rights?

In Dallas County, Texas, and America, we will have an opportunity to choose next year. As Cicero stated, we can survive our fools, plenty of them, and the ambitious. However, we cannot survive the enemy within the gates, the one whose treasonous actions seek to undermine our existence, and are willing to fling open the gates and allow the enemies outside the gate to enter.

Will the Dallas County Commission and all City Councils in Dallas County denounce Antifa and designate them as a domestic terrorist organization? I demand that they do. If not, then we know which side they have chosen.

Steadfast and Loyal.
