Current Status of U.S. House Races
As of 5:33 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, according to Decision Desk HQ, races for the U.S. House of Representatives show 219 have been called for Republicans and 206 for Democrats with some more races left to call. Control of the House is 218 seats, which was reached yesterday. There should be a few more states called in the morning.

This evening at 6:13pm, Nov, 15th, Decision Deck HQ called the 218th seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for the Republicans. This represents control of the House. There are still 14 races in the House left to be called. Republican candidates are leading in some of them.

Just to tidy up a couple of loose ends: the Texas Senate got redder and there is still one race yet to be decided. Already, Republicans have picked on one additional seat. The previous distribution was 18 Republicans and 13 Democrats. The current distribution is 19 Republicans and 11 Democrats with the District 27 race yet to be called. Currently, the Democrat has a razor-thin 569-vote lead

Just to tidy up a couple of loose ends: the Texas House got redder. With all Texas House races in Texas finally called, Republicans picked on one additional seat. The previous distribution was 85 Republicans and 65 Democrats. The new distribution is 86 Republicans and 64 Democrats.

The Texas Legislature is getting redder. In the Texas Senate, Republicans have already picked up at least one seat with another seat still in play. Likewise, in the Texas House, Republicans have picked one seat at least one seat with another one still in play. In other words, our majorities in each chamber increased.

Control of the Senate Likely Comes Down to Two Races
Control of the Senate will likely come down to two races, (1) the uncalled race in Nevada where Adam Laxalt currently leads by about 23,000 votes, and (2) the run-off election in Georgia.
